Orrery is a desktop app you buy once and run. There is no account, no login, and nothing about you is tracked. This page explains the small amount of data the app sends home and why none of it identifies you.

Anonymous & aggregate. Country (region-level), operating system, and app version — counted, never linked to you.

No IP stored. No accounts. No tracking cookies. No advertising or analytics SDKs. No device identifiers. No selling of anything.

What the app sends home

While running, the desktop app periodically contacts getorrery.app for two reasons:

Your country is determined at our network edge (Cloudflare) from the connection and recorded as a two-letter code only. Your IP address is never stored and never written to our analytics. Because nothing in this data can be traced back to an individual, it is not personal data — so there is nothing to consent to, and there are no cookies involved.

Buying a license

Payments are handled by LemonSqueezy, our merchant of record. When you buy, you interact with LemonSqueezy directly; they process your payment and any billing details under their privacy policy. We never see or store your card details. If you activate a license, the app sends the license key you entered to getorrery.app, which checks it against LemonSqueezy — no other personal data is involved.

The website

This website is hosted on Cloudflare and loads a web font from Google Fonts. We do not set tracking or advertising cookies on it.

Retention

The anonymous usage counts are stored in aggregate for a short rolling window (about 90 days) and then expire automatically.

Your rights & contact

Because we hold no account and no personal data about you, there is nothing individual to access, export, or delete. If you have any question about privacy, email hi@getorrery.app — a real person will reply.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Material changes will be noted on this page.
